This Privacy Policy explains how PrayForMe Team ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the PrayForMe mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Who We Are

PrayForMe is a global prayer community app that connects people through shared prayer requests. We are responsible for your data as a data controller under applicable privacy laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data We Collect

When you use PrayForMe, we collect the following information:

Account information — your name (or chosen display name) and email address, provided when you register or sign in with Google.
Prayer requests — the text content of prayer requests you submit, along with the category and country you select. These are visible to other users.
Country selection — the country you choose manually in the app. We do not collect your GPS location or precise location data.
Device token (FCM) — a unique identifier for your device, used only to send you push notifications. We do not use this for advertising.
Usage data — which prayers you have prayed for (stored to avoid showing duplicates). This data is stored in your private user profile and is not visible to others.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the PrayForMe service:

To create and manage your account
To display your prayer requests to other users of the App
To send you push notifications when others pray for your requests
To enforce community guidelines (e.g. preventing spam, moderating reported content)
To remember your preferences (such as your selected country filter)

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any commercial profiling.

4. Data Retention

Prayer requests expire automatically after 3 days and are permanently deleted from our servers.
Account data (name, email) is retained for as long as your account is active.
Swiped history is retained to prevent duplicate content from being shown to you.

You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us at zaverandra95@gmail.com.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) — your data is stored securely on Google's servers. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google's own privacy policy applies to that authentication process.

6. Children's Privacy

PrayForMe is open to users of all ages. We are committed to protecting the privacy of younger users.

We do not knowingly collect more data than necessary from any user, regardless of age.
Prayer requests posted by users under the age of 16 should be done with the awareness and consent of a parent or guardian.
Parents or guardians may contact us at zaverandra95@gmail.com to request the deletion of their child's data at any time.
We do not display targeted advertising to any users, including minors.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.

We take the security of your data seriously. All data is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard encryption. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized users only, and all database operations are protected by Firebase Security Rules.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
